Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. Her most well-known work is her character on Law & Order in the role of Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor, on Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the main character in Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She has also acted on films such as RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she also wrote and directed). Hennessy was born in Edmonton. John Hennessy, John's father was a marketing and meat sales/marketing executive. The job required significant traveling and the family had to move frequently. The mother of her child, Maxine, a secretary was a divorcee in 1982, leaving her daughter to be taken care of by her maternal grandmother, Eleanor who lives located in Kitchener, Ontario. She has a younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and a identical twin sister, Jacqueline She is a magazine writer and TV host in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian roots from her father's side as well as mostly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She used to busk in the subway system of Toronto. Hennessy and her sister were among the first to appear as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. According to Gillian Anderson (the actress who played the part), she was shortlisted for Dana Scully's part on The X-Files. In 1993, Hennessy was signed by Dick Wolf as Claire Kincaid, assistant district attorney in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted three seasons. She left the show after 1996.
