Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American television chef and host. She also was an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains simple techniques that anybody can learn. Chef Burrell worked in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and environment. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. The Culinary Institute of America was a great location to learn. After graduating Chef Burrell was in Italy for a year, taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. In Italy, Chef Burrell developed an appreciation for and understanding of Italian cuisine. It made a huge effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids with disabilities. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her expertise in the culinary world as she frequently is in the United States for the roles of mentors and speakers. Anne, throughout her entire experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's an honor to be able to be able to share this love of food with other people.
